It is said that once a soul leaves the body, it wanders until it finds the shores of River Styx and River Acheron. This legend dates back to Ancient Greek, maybe even before.
According to this legend, the soul awaits at the shore for the Boatman Kharon to ferry it across, to the land of the dead. For a coin or two, of course.
I was in bed, recovering from my 6th motorcycle accident when I read about all this. No other name could fit her better.
Kharon, in this case, ferried me back. With more than a few scars, but alive and kicking. A cat has nine lives, right?
